Our typical feeding center activity consist of providing food to children in a church or school. The food is prepared by the community adults who welcome the children and provide a loving environment. The children are given the opportunity to participate in school and or bible study activities. We not only nourish their bodies, but also their souls. A lot of these children would not know the love of Christ or of other human beings if it were not for these centers.
Food is either bought in country as staples or we ship cargo containers of nutritional supplements. The logistics of shipping versus buying local determines how a center is supported.
We have feeding centers in multiple countries, all of which are similar to our Nicaragua site. The need throughout the world is great and we frequently hear of new possibilities to assist children when our board meets.
